Birthdays and all that jazz

Well, last week was my birthday and this weekend was mother's day. What a fab time I have had.I spent Saturday with CMM and CMJ and we had a lovely time, we played Singstar on the playstation and chilled and then Sunday being Mothering Sunday we pottered about, it was a lovely day and we just enjoyed it.

Stark reality of work today. No pics with this post because I am on my lunch break and we can't access much on these terminals. My sister and her husband MW and KW are coming home from Portugal for the summer this month so that will be lovely, they can come and stay with me. The weather wasn't so good out there this winter, warm but not sunny, so I think it's easy to come back.

Well, Christmas was fabulous. I took 2 weeks holiday, the week before and the week after, which made everything so brilliant because I had time to get ready. Also my sisters came down, LE and my nephew BE and MW with my brother in law KW who also brought my great niece with them. How gorgeous she is!! Absolutely full of life and street smart, which I suspect means she is just like her Grandma who was like that when that age by all accounts.

Mum is still OK, I haven't seen her for a while but am so broke that I can't afford to go up - hoping to manage a visit soon.

I keep forgetting to add blogs and have all these good intentions but since no-one else is reading them I doubt if it matters!!!

The pictures are of my lounge with carpets which I harped on about a bit in my last blog. All carpeted and lovely everywhere!

CMM is loving secondary school, she is very bright and works very hard, it's a combination which can only provide a bright future for her. I hope she will end up working in an area she loves and not being forced to take any old job which she can get like most of us.

Good grief! It's 5 to 2 in the am. Got to go, work in 6 hours.
