Pampered poms and flea ridden felines
Have you ever noticed that when you long for some peace and quiet and you actually get it, it isn't as appealing as you thought? Well, this week I've been staying back at CMJs while she and CMM have been in France and I'm looking after the pom and the cat. They are absolutely fabulous, although Billie (the cat, remember?) did have fleas. CMJ said, "there's a flea collar - hers isn't working" and so I put it on her, problem solved.
I have been staying with CMJ for a very long time, but in late July went back home. I thought it would be awful being on my own again after 2 years, but actually, after the initial couple of weeks it has just got better and better. I love my gorgeous new kitchen and bathroom, all the walls have been done and so have the ceilings, and just last week the hall and stairs and the lounge had their new carpets. The two bedrooms still need to be carpeted but it's bought and paid for and awaiting a convenient time. What a relief.
So of course, everyone will be at mine this Christmas. I am looking forward to it so much and have taken time off the week before so that I can enjoy the build up with CMM. Biggest bonus, dishwasher!!
I have visited my mum with CMM and CMJ, it was at Easter and she is such a sweetie, she was pleased to see us but not sure that she knew exactly who we were. We all had a lovely time though and went to Alton Towers on the way home. Never been before but it was just fantastic.
My sister has gone off to Portugal again for the winter, in April she was 60 and the picture which looks like the cover of Wing's Band on the Run is of our family at her fabulous surprise party. Her husband organised it and he did a great job, we were all there and so were all her friends.
Anyway, the girls are back tomorrow night and I will be going home, probably on Sunday because we like to watch strictly and they'll just have got home.
See you soon bloggy bloggerson.
